PLAYING WITH STYLING: Clothing decorations

I’ve mentioned in a post before that I love writings and drawings that are included in the clothing, so I’ve decided to dedicate a full post to clothing decorations. Shall we begin?

Isn’t this top one of the cutest celozaslonski-zajem-19-11-2016-200303-bmpitems you have seen, ever? The detail is so beautifully structured and it matches with the skirt and the rest of the items so easily. I love the buttons and the cross back straps. When you add too much details, there is always fear that the clothing will look … Tacky. But this top isn’t even close to that. Otherwise this outfit has a very girly vibe, so it’s not one of my favorites. However, if you aren’t into rock clothing, you might fancy this.

This second outfit fits my taste a lot lot more and you can’t doubt that I was the one that put it together ๐Ÿ˜‰ I love all of the items! The skirt is my absolute favorite, because I love the detail that makes me think of beautiful art and I also love the colour of the skirt. It’s not too bold and “screamy”, but it’s so far from being simple. The top is gorgeous, too. It’s more or less plain, but that flowiness makes the entire look seem more girly, even though the outfitย has more badass than girly elements on the first look.

What do you think of clothing decorations, which outfit do you prefer and why? Let me know in the comments! ๐Ÿ™‚

OOTD: My Maria

It happens more often than someone would think that I create an outfit I absolutely love, but wouldn’t consider wearing it for. This outfit is one of those. Why? I wouldn’t wear the items seperately, but I think they work together as a combination and that’s why I love the outfit, but simply wouldn’t wear it.

celozaslonski-zajem-19-11-2016-201912-bmpTruth be told, I don’t like the top, but I’m fond of how it matches up with the rest of the items. I didn’t want to choose a dark one, because I wanted the outfit to be a bit more uplifting. The skirt is bombastic. I love the colour! I wouldn’t feel comfortable in a short item like this, but it kicks ass!ย These shoes are one of my favorites. I can’t explain why do I like platforms this much, but they have a vintage essence and I like that. I also can’t imagine pairing up any other shoes next to the skirt and the jacket that I’ve chosen. While we’re at it, let me explain why did I use the leather jacket. I often wear them in real life and I think they’re great (unless it’s hot outside, then you have to be real careful!)

Red carpet: AMAS 2016 – Review

Hi guys! I’ve mostly gathered my favorite looks from the AMAs, but there are a couple of misses I’d like to talk about, as well. Let’s get right into it!

The left picture is proof that Selena Gomez has had aย great red carpet pick before (this is a look from the 2015 AMAs), but she shined this year (right). I think she was a real princess. The flow, the structure of the dress and her styling in general make this the look of the night for me.

Let’s continue with some rock ‘n’ roll, shall we?! Jenny McCarthy (left) looks stunning with her black eyeliner, black clothing and a simple necklace with slicked hair. All in all, her outfit isn’t anything complicated, but everything works beautifully together. Kerri Kasem rocked, too! I love the upper part of the dress. I might not be excited about that detail on her shoulder, but at least it’s original.

I LOVE Zoe Saldana‘s look. Why? Because it’s original and I don’t think anyone would rock this outfit the way she did. if I wore a dress like that, I’d totally ruin it. With her, though, it looks absolutely fabulous. She wears the dress, not the other way around.

It’s time for some paler colours, do you agree? Jess Bauer (left) looks so cute with this styling! The nude suits her so well and all of the clothes make her figure look great. The necklace looks expensive as hell and her hair is so girly. Keltie Knight‘s look (right) somehow screams country glamour to me. Does that make sense? I’m not obsessed with the sparkly detail and I think it SHOULD have been constructed better around the shoes … But, otherwise, I think it suits her.

Was there ever a time when Nina Dobrev (left) didn’t look absolutely gorgeous at a red carpet? I’m not obsessed with the pattern, it wouldn’t be my personal pick, but she can pull it off. She could pull anything off, I’m guessing. Liz Hernandez‘s look (right) is one of my favorites! The pattern is so great, but not overrated, the colour is just right, the shape is so fun and feminine, yet not overly revealing. A+

These two looks “almost made it” to me. Lilliana Vazquez (left) brought the galaxy with her and it looks so nice. It’s not a popular pick, it’s original and interesting. There’s just something that’s missing for me … Maybe a different construction of the dress or less fluffy sleeves. Julianne Hough definitely fits into the catefory of “women crushes”. She looks absolutely gorgeous. I just wish the material of the upper part of the dress was a bit different. I still love the originality and the style, though!

I wish I didn’t have to mention two of the looks that were, for me, by far the worst picks of the night, but … I’ll have to. Kat Graham (left) is such a stunning woman, but her stylists are doing her NO FAVOUR! The upper part of the dress isn’t that horrific, but what’s up with the bottom? Where do I begin?! Her lady part looks absolutely crushed and the net is so far from making her look feminine. On the other hand, Lauren Giraldo (right) went with a costume. The nude isn’t that bad, but what’s up with that dress train behind her? And if this is her style, why didn’t she use a coat over it instead and add a hat? We’ve seen Madonna rock similiar outfits to these, so did Lady Gaga … If you style it right, it can look right.

See. Both Bella Thorne (left) and Laura Marano (right) did something pretty risky, but they styled the outfits right and they rocked them on their own ways.

There are more red carpet picks that I could have talked about, but I’ll just wrap this baby up and not ramble on for too long ๐Ÿ˜›
What was your favorite red carpet look, which one was the worst for you? Let me know in the comments!

Playing with styling: Sporty fashionistas

When I was younger, I didn’t like “merging” different styles.ย I always thought tight clothing has to be matched up with tight clothing, formal clothing with formal clothing, sporty clothing with sporty clothing … You get the point. However, experimenting is so much more fun and you won’t believe it, you won’t look any less fashionable!

Rihanna is the queen of matching up high fashioned clothing with sporty ones. She still looks absolutely fabulous, feminine, badass … She merges countless of fashion options into one. Therefore, this post was inspired by the awesome fashion icon that Rihanna is.

celozaslonski-zajem-19-11-2016-192557-bmpI love shirts with writings and images… It means you can wear a black shirt, which is otherwise plain, but this way it’s far from being boring. It looks artistic and original.
The high heel is absolutely amazing … The colour and the shine just draws you in and you can kick some serious ass with these ๐Ÿ˜›
They even match with the rose on the shirt! Because the shirt is baggy, I’ve decided to use another less sporty and more fashionable item – the skirt. I think it’s just as badass as the shoes are and I love the leather. All in all, I love the outfit. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that Rihanna would wear this, but I can picture her in it!

celozaslonski-zajem-19-11-2016-192803-bmpThe second outfit is definitely more revealing, but I think it has a certain vintage charm. I love how the top and the skirt match colour-wise. That middle detail of the top is just about the coolest thing ever and so is the detail of the skirt on the edge. The cute little bag brings the element of girliness and softness, so the sporty vibe draws out a bit. Looking at the shoes, I just have to say these have to be one of my favorites. I like the structure, the material … It’s just so pretty. And you know by now that I love adding hats, so I won’t even explain that ๐Ÿ˜› I think the outfit also needs some jewellry to make it more complete, but otherwise I’m personally satisfied.

What do you think of these two outfits? Did I show you the sporty fashion or is this a miss instead? ๐Ÿ˜› Let me know in the comments! Take care!

Playing with styling: Choker tops

One thing that became incredibly popular this year is the choker necklace and soon after that, the designers started adding it to the tops. I think it’s a cool trend, so I’ve decided to dedicate a post to it.

celozaslonski-zajem-5-11-2016-185238-bmpI feel like I’ve mixed vintage and rock in this particular outfit, which I haven’t done before, so I just hope it works! The pants are awesome, I love the fact that they aren’t plain black. The top is great, its material looks easy-going and the colour is just amazing. Who doesn’t love a bit of red? I also think that leather jackets are badass and I personally feel incredibly comfortable and confident in them. Then I kind of wondered whether I should change the bag and the shoes for a backpack and ankle boots … But I ended up thinking that I should tone the rock down ๐Ÿ˜›

celozaslonski-zajem-5-11-2016-185243-bmpThe second outfit just has to be one of my favorites that I’ve created, ever. The style seems less experimental, but that also means it has a more certain vibe than the first outfit. I am obsessed with that skirt … I love pretty patterns and this one reminds me of Japanese art. It’s so delicate and perfectly made. The red also brightens up the otherwise dark outfit. If you wanted, you could add a black coat, but I feel like this is perfect without any additions. I’d maybe use earrings, but that’s it.

Do you like chokers and choker tops? Which outfit do you prefer and would you consider wearing any of them? Let me know in the comments!

Playing with styling: Using WHITE

Hello guys! I try making 50% of darker outfits and 50% of lighter ones, because I know everybody has their style and I also don’t want to repeat myself too much by stating the obvious – that I love a little rock ‘n roll in fashion. I’ve decided to use a bit lighter outfits this time around!

celozaslonski-zajem-5-11-2016-101946-bmpI love the girly essence of this outfit; you can easily choose it for a family gathering, lighter birthday parties, etc. I feel as if the top needs to be styled next to a white colour, because otherwise it could get boring. This way, the outfit isn’t either too dark, nor too light and every item stands out on its own. I love the shape of the skirt that isn’t tight, but it’s also not fluffy or “cheap”. The shoes have to be my favorite item, though, because I love the colour, the shine and the little ankle strap. If shoes have an ankle strap, I’ve already mentally bought them.

celozaslonski-zajem-5-11-2016-101951-bmpThis second outfit is more casual and you can wear it on regular days. Even though it doesn’t have the girly or formal essence, I still think it’s not boring. The shoes are my absolute favorite, they kick ass! I have an obsession with vintage things and I could just see Rachel or Monica wearing these in Friends. I like how the pants seem formal, but that tones down next to the other items. The top is light and easy-flowing. I’ve considered using it in other style combinations at first, but I found myself struggling. I think it suits perfectly with this outfit and it was meant to be this way ๐Ÿ˜›

Which outfit do you prefer and why; would you consider wearing any of the two? Let me know in the comments! Also, if you have any requests for styling, let me know. I love a little challenge ๐Ÿ˜‰

OOTD: A bit of black, white and blue

My mom is not the boldescelozaslonski-zajem-5-11-2016-191521-bmpt person when it comes to fashion, but she always said to me that I have to match my clothing. The result of that is that I’m not the most bold fashionista, either, but trying to match the colours truly is fun to me and it helps you look somewhat stylish. Looking at this outfit, trying to get the colours together into a … harmony … was truly cool to me. You know by now that I truly love skirts. I love how this particular one flows and I love the bottom pattern. It works well with the high heel, which is overflowing … The colour of it starts at white and it “becomes” blue. It’s interesting. The outfit could have been cooler if I used different shades of blue, instead of just going safe with black in the top, the hat and the purse … However, I felt like blue was dark enough that it could “overflow” into black. And it makes sense.
