Playing with styling: Lust for life

I’ve been playing around on Polyvore a lot lately by creating different kind of styles and using different new clothing. I’ve found this gorgeous top that I simply had to use in a set, but because I couldn’t stop at one styling, I’ve made two of them! And they actually connect a lot.

It has a collar, the sleeves are ruffled, the pattern is so incredibly cool and it even has a triangle cut. There’s nothing that could be missing on this beautiful piece. It is a blouse, so it’s quite formal and we could consider using it next to pants. However, I didn’t want to go down that path. Even though I love wearing black, I’m suddenly in a phase of life where I want new colourful clothing in my closet, so I decided to use a girly and flowy skirt with a bright colour. What I love most is the fact that three colours are connected all through this outfit: white, black and red. Look at the bag. I’m so in love with it! It has a sense of rock and it’s definitely original and something special, but it still connects well with all individual pieces. There’s a shade of white to connect with the heels, a shade of red to connect with the skirt and a shade of black to connect with the coat and the top. I love this. I’ve created it and I therefore shouldn’t give it so many compliments, but I can’t stop myself.

I’ve done nearly the same thing with this second set. Three different cCelozaslonski zajem 21. 04. 2017 120829.bmpolours interfene with each other and not only that … I think that three different styles do, as well. The blouse and the blazer are more formal, the skirt and the heels definitely have a girly vibe and the bag brings in the element of rock. The outfit captures everything I love to wear in my personal life.
I prefer this skirt over the red one, but that’s just because colourful skirts and pants aren’t my style. The bag is yet again the smallest element of the outfit, but the most important one. The blue connects with the shoes, the white connects with the skirt and the blazer, the black connects with the blouse. I also love the blue in this outfit, it’s so gentle and easy-going, but it brings so much life to the set.

The playing is now done, that’s that. Man, I had FUN! Which outfit do you prefer and why? Let me know in the comments!
