This is one of the first sets that I didn’t struggle creating! I am almost always searching for perfect colour combinations, accessories, the right shoes … This time I had luck to stumble upon a couple of items that I loved individually and that worked well together, as well! I really like the top because of its asymetrical lines, the countless shades of the colour blue and all of the patterns that it includes. It’s so interesting, a lot is going on, but it’s still modern and fabulous. I also like the drapping of the skirt. It could have been more elegant if it was tighter, but I was going for a comfortable and easier look this time, so the skirt suits that idea. The high heels are my favorite yet. They suit the idea of a blue look, but the soft and bright shade of the blue draws the attention.
I feel as if we don’t need any accessories with this – maybe an easygoing hat for a walk outside or couple of rings – it depends what’s your style. I wouldn’t add a necklace, because I think the top is interesting on itsown.

Another trend is wearing tops with bare shoulders. The top itself might be a bit too short, but that’s not an issue if we style it properly. First option is to combine it with cropped trousers and high heels, that’s incredibly popular. However, this item isn’t too elegant, so we could just as easily style it with a flowy long skirt. It all depends what your style is. Either way, I love the girliness and simpleness of this top.
It’s summer in my city, but I am getting nostalgic. I love wearing flowy and long coats, I feel extra fashionable in them! With summer, clothes feel sticky and annoying – I don’t feel either fashionable or confident. This coat from Bruce by Bruce Oldfield therefore deserves a shoutout in this post. I love the pattern, the length … And the fact that there are no buttons. I prefer wearing opened jackets and coats than I do closed.
Just the other day, I was playing around and searching for new items on Polyvore and I found these Love Mochino Heart flats. At first, I wished these shoes were in fact high heels, because I think they’d look even more fashionable! Then I remembered sometimes flats sound like the perfect choice, yet we still want to feel confident and beautiful. The selections of flats are rather sad, the shoes hardly ever look stylish, but these definitely don’t lack fashion! I love the heart element, because it can brighten up an all-black outfit. I also like the zipper on the sides. Even though it has no function what-so-ever, it’s a beautiful addition.
The last item I want to give a shout-out to is this beautiful Athens skirt. I love everything about it – the black lines that are asymetric and therefore interesting, the colour of the pink and the beautiful artsy rose on the side. Because of its colour palette, we can style it next to almost any colour – black, white, blue, pink … And the beauty of this is that the top and the shoes can be simple, because the skirt definitely isn’t.
My favorite item of this first set is the top, which might resemble a more comfortable bra or something like that, but it feels refreshing. We don’t have to wear long and baggy items all the time. I combined it with an all-white outfit that seemed appropriate. Just because the top itself has that tropical vibe, I’ve decided not to include any toughness by matching it with a black colour. I also love the shoes in this combination! I think the outfit would have been better if we included some blue colour that is included in the shoes, but everything still matches.
If you’d like to keep the tropical vibe, but you want a more sophisticated look, maybe this outfit is more for you. These kind of pants have become incredibly popular and women love combining them for all kind of purposes. They are a bit shorter; they show off your ankles, but they are high fashioned. To keep the essence of the tropic vibe, maybe I should have picked white high heels, but we know the black high heels are known as the most sophisticated, that’s why I picked those.
The top is one of my favorite items I’ve used recently. I like the girliness of it, yet the bare shoulders make you look sexy. It’s a vintage, but timeless item. You definitely have to style it with a high-waisted item, therefore I used the white skirt that matches the dots of the top. I’ve actually thought about using pants, but they’re extremely formal and draw out the fun that the skirt draws in. Using flat shoes would probably be a bit more logical, but I wanted the outfit to be a bit more fashionable and not just wearable for walks with your dog. I added the hat for one reason – I love hats and I think it suits the outfit! 😀
And here is another way you can style the top (and the shoes). If you don’t consider yourself to be overly girly and skirts aren’t your favorite thing on the Earth, you can use the jeans. The outfit is not as bright, but it still doesn’t resemble the hard, rock look. If it wasn’t for the shoes, this is the kind of an outfit you can wear every day to school or a walk outside. The shoes truly bring this outfit to a more fashionable level. And I haven’t mentioned yet that I in fact love them. I think they’re beautiful, I love the shine of the red colour that just gets your attention.

This set exactly seems girly and cute, but it still has a touch of elegance. I love the high heels, especially because they match the light jeans – and the tone of the colour suits beautifully with the gentle pink. I like combining gentle colours together. We would feel hot in this top, so it’s not the most practical item ever, but I like the cut of it and I thought it matches the girliness. This is different from what I normally create, yet I still find it wearable!
I am normally one of those people that don’t like combining jean with jean – I think it can come off as overdone. However, I like this combination of the gentle yellow and blue. I think I would have destroyed it if I paired the pants with something other than the jacket I picked. The bag here isn’t needed – exactly because of the “boring” black colour – but I’ve included it just in case. Because of the cut of the top, we could have added a necklace, but I wanted to keep the outfit simple.
