Red carpet: OSCARS 2017

Hello! I’m always so grateful for awards and beautiful red carpets … This was probably one of my favorite red carpets in a while! Let’s get it ooooon 😉

darby-stanchfield89th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals
THIS HAS TO BE MY FAVORITE LOOK OF THE NIGHT! Or … At least top three, for sure! Darby Stanchfield rocked it. I love the sassy pose, the white dress that suits her pale skin, the hair styling and that diamond earring. Everything is in place. Everything is perfect.

brie-larssonbrie-larsson1
Brie Larsson clearly made a mistake with those horrible shoes … But I can look past them, since the dress suits her perfectly. Its structure is so original, yet the upper part of the dress screams “BRIE’S STYLE”. I love her breezy hair, those red lips and the fact that she didn’t use too much jewelry, because the look is good without it.

taraji-p-hensontaraji
Let’s continue with darker dresses! Taraji P. Henson absolutely rocked the red carpet. That dress is so perfect it makes me want to cry. The cleveage is crazy and that leg-split? Sexy as hell! The necklace was so needed with a dress like that and it looks absolutely perfect. I can’t criticize it … There’s nothing bad about it!

salma-hayekkate-mckinnon
Salma Hayek (left) looked like a princess in another black dress. I love the fact that the dress isn’t plain blackness, there’s some beautiful material overflowing with each other and that makes the look magical.  Kate Mckinnon (right) wore a simpler dress, which is just as pretty. I wish both dresses had different upper parts, so they would look 100% formal, but it’s alright either way.

ava-duvernayfelicity-jones
Speaking of princesses … Look at Ava Duvernay (left). Her look is so original! The colour suits her, the details are so bloody beautiful and the fact that she wore something with long sleeves? Bold! Yet it payed off. Felicity Jones (right) … That length of the dress can be incredibly tricky, but she made it easy. And thanfully she picked a pale colour that suits her skin tone perfectly. The only thing, though … She should have worn heels.

viola-davismahershala-ali
Everybody ready for some #BlackExcellence?! Viola Davis and Mahershala Ali are, without doubt, one of the best actors in the business curently and I’m so happy and proud to see them win an Oscar. Therefore they clearly deserve to be mentioned in this post!

ryan gosling.jpgrexfeatures_8434880dh
Mahershala opened the red carpet for the boys in this post, so let’s continue … Look at Ryan Gosling (left) and Justin Timberlake (right) rooooocking that red carpet just by being on it!

jeremy-rennerchris-evans
And now the Avengers, Jeremy Renner (left) and Chris Evans (right) … Looking as good as ever!

kirsten-dunstemma-roberts
Back to the ladies! Kirsten Dunst’s (left) dress has POCKETS! That bought me over alone. Then the structure, the colour … Everything is so God damn beautiful. Emma Roberts’ (right) dress shouldn’t have two layers, that was clearly a mistake. But, OK, it’s original, I give her points for that. I ABSOLUTELY love the upper part of the dress and I’m also glad the dress is not all-black, because I think that wouldn’t have been her style.

oscars-red-carpet-2011-naomie-harris-superjumbo-v3karlie-kloss
Then the two outfits that could have been perfect if they were corrected … Naomie Harris’ (left) dress should have been looooonger. The cut is just so awkward and it doesn’t suit the vibe of the Oscars. Karlie Kloss (right) killed it with that diamond choker, that was the best addition ever. I’ve pointed this one issue before, thought … Stick to the same sleeves. Seriously. Or, if you don’t, make sure it doesn’t look awkward. She should have used the structure of the left sleeve for both of them and that’s that.

justin-timberlake-and-jesssica-bielchrissy-teigen-and-john-legend
Now to the cutest two moments of the red carpet … Justin Timberlake showing his lady, Jessica Biel, off (left). Aaaaand Chrissy Teigen and John Legend cuddling up like two cute lovebirds (right).

89th Annual Academy Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Feb 2017
Having said that … I also have to point out that Chrissy Teigen looked ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I can’t describe how much I love this look. It’s right behind Darby’s look. The leg split, all of the additions, the colour, the earrings … Slay.

You know what? I’m saying it! THIS WAS MY FAVORITE RED CARPET, since I’ve been writing the reviews. Honestly. Everybody looked absolutely gorgeous and congratulations go to all of the winners. I am proud and happy.

Red carpet: GRAMMYS 2017

Hey guys! I’ll be an exception to the rule and I won’t write anything about Valentine’s day today (because some of us like being along and bitter :P), but I WILL talk about the Grammys’ red carpet! 😉

I can’t say this was my favorite red carpet ever, far from it, but I’ve managed to gather some looks that I liked or somewhat understood, so here we go!

Jane-Zhang.jpgJane-Zhang-Piaget-watch-and-jewelry1-819x1200.jpg
My favorite look of the night goes to Jane Zhang, who looked aaaabsolutely gorgeous! The colour of the dress is perfect for her, because nude/silver/white work best with pale skin. Tony Ward, the designer, really knows his work, though. Look at all of the amazing details of the dress, the material, how it flows … It’s thought to a perfection.

laverne-coxtinashe
Let’s continue with some rock, by the way! Laverne Cox (left) looks hooooot. If I remember right, she normally wears softer and girlier colours, with flowy designs. I’d lie if I said I preferred those over this badass choice. And the shape of the dress makes her look so tiny! Tinashe (right) is another rockstar of the night. I like how she wore something different, while still being feminine and modern. I also really like her make-up and hair styling, it’s fabulous!

grammys-red-carpet-all-the-looks-ss20demi-lovato-2017-grammys-1
LOOK AT MY GIRL DEMI LOVATO! In case you couldn’t tell from the screaming, yes, I love her. And she looked so glamorous, while basically wearing a see-through dress. Not everyone can do that, my friends. The colour of the dress suits her best and everything makes sense. Yes, it’s a bit bold, but she pulls it off, so who cares? I’m also in love with her hair and make-up styling.

rihanna-grammys-2017.jpgc4jnne3wcaa0vww
Rihanna … My absolute girl crush, I don’t know how does she pull this off! Even though it’s a two-piece outfit, it looks like it suits together. It’s rock&roll and glamour at once. I also love the fact that the top shows her tattoo off, it seems like a really nice “detail”. The skirt could have easily been too fluffy if somebody else wore it, but with Rihanna, it’s right!

faith-hillgrammys-red-carpet-all-the-looks-ss22
I feel like Faith Hill (left) and Jennifer Lopez (right) are the two ladies that ALMOST pulled it off … J-Lo? That bow is ridiculous, hun, we both know you can do better. I also feel like the train is so unnecessary with the shape of the dress as it is. And if she covered the leg slit, the dress would look a lot more glamurous. Faith, on the other hand? I love the colour of the dress, but the shoulders look awkward, they should have been made differently in order to look more feminine. And the slit of the dress was put up awkwardly. If it was on the side, it would be way better!

chrissy teigen.jpgKristin Cavallari.jpg
I really like Chrissy Teigen (left) and I think the details of this dress are badass. Also, the designer was thinking smart when he cut the dress by the hips, because it made her look EVEN skinnier. The only thing missing in Kristin Cavallari‘s look (right) is an expensive necklace. There’s just too much neck room! I also love the fact that the designer made a slit for the leg, but covered it with different material. It’s something new.

kat graham.jpgThe last lady that I need to talk about is Kat Graham. I can’t say I’m head over heels with this look, it’s still a bit weird and unusual. But let’s say I appreacite her sticking to her style. And … The last time that she appeared on a red carpet, I REALLY criticized her outfit and pointed out that her stylists are doing her no favour. Well, this look is WAY better. At least they tried this time and her hair and make-up styling is fabulous, while the dress looks alright.

Alright … I feel like I’ve said everything I wanted to say, so talk to me in the comments and let me know which outfit was your own personal favorite 🙂

OOTD: Devil’s toys

Pusher love girl

I created this outfit just a couple of days ago and I actually struggled with it at first! I didn’t imagine I’d end up putting these items together – individually, I loved every item, but as an outfit … I found it questionable. Now? I think it was a great decision! What I love is that there’s a lot going on … It’s elegance and it’s sport, it’s edgy and girly … My favorite thing about the outfit is how the pink on the jacket and the pink on the high heel match. It’s such a small detail that stands out and means a lot. I love the shine of the shoes! I love the top … It’s short and simple, but if you style it right, it’s THE clothing item to look out for. The choker is another detail that gives the outfit a special essence, so it isn’t boring and usual. The skirt? I usually prefer pencil skirts with high waist, but I feel like those are more edgy and the skirts with lower waist seem girlier. There’s also no need to hide out figure too much, because the jacket does that already.

I think the outfit simply doesn’t have a defined style, it’s everything together and I think I managed to be more or less original. But, what matters is, what do you think? Let me know in the comments!

OOTD: Strawberry bubblegum

It looks like … No matter what, I always come running back to my rock roots. I can create girly outfits, too, but I always feel more comfortable with black and leather, what can I say 😛

LMWhat do I love most about this set? Probably the badass skirt! It’s leather and it gives the wrap-effect in the front, which is such a beautiful detail. I feel like the shape of the skirt would have been SO much different if it didn’t have that effect! The top is so simple and it can be used as a sport item, too, but I felt like the rose fit into a rock-and-roll style. It is a nice addition to the blackness anyway. And it has the vintage sense, which I usually search for in clothing. I can almost say I experimented with the high heel, because it’s quite a girly item and black shoes with spikes would definitely match the edginess better … But because of the rose and the fact that I didn’t want to go too edgy, I decided to use them anyway.
