Everybody ready for a softer palette again? Here are two sets that fit that definition!
The first item that I picked when I created this outfit was the skirt. I usually do not look for patterns on skirts, but this one is so cute and innocent that I fell in love with it instantly. It was a bit harder to pick the rest of the items, because I wanted a girly and soft vibe, yet nothing I picked matched with that. Then I found this top. It is a bit too “blank” for my taste, but I used it because of its gentle colour. The coat is “blank”, too. It doesn’t have an original shape, but given the fact that the skirt is very original and tasteful, I don’t think it’s necessary to exaggerate with the rest of the clothing. Then I used the heels. My original idea was to use blue heels, but I think that these compliment the outfit better, because the idea of the three colours comes together more beautifully. Green is a difficult colour, but this shade looks pretty.
This second set I’ve created not a long time ago and it was probably the easiest set to create. I had picked all of the items individually and then saw the idea that they would fit together nicely. The skirt yet again has a pattern and it sounds like I am almost lying to you guys that I don’t like skirts with patterns, but I truly don’t! I don’t own any of them, but these two both bought me over and I would consider wearing them in real life, especially this second skirt. It’s very gentle and beautiful. Using a top with a pattern next to a skirt with a pattern is very tricky. Either you don’t do it, or you make sure that they match. I think these two match – both of the items are the dirty colour of white and the pattern isn’t as visible on the top, so it isn’t annoying. These shoes are so beautiful. I love the fact that they match with the idea of the gentle vibe. This shade of pink is very nice.

My favorite look of the night belongs to Andrea Russett who looked absolutely gorgeous in a white dress that is tight around the waist and then just wildly spreads down to her legs. Her tattoo is actually a very nice detail to the dress and it fits beautifuly! Even her make-up and hair look feminine and beautiful. Thank God for the fashion stylist Jazmin Whitley. The dress, I believe, was made by Steven Khalil. I loooove it.
DNCE have a lot going on, but I HAVE to comment on JinJoo Lee’s look, because she … ROCKED it. The hair, the make up, the dress … You can see this was made for her and I doubt anybody else could wear it the way she does. It’s not complicated or overly glammed … But it works so much better than some of the overly done outfits.

Vanessa Hudgens … Did she ever not look absolutely gorgeous? Because I doubt it. Her make-up, her attitude, the way she wears that short hair like it was made for her … You go, girl! The dress? I like the dress … But I wish she decided on the length and just went with it. You want it to be short? Keep it short. You want it to be long? Make it long, sister. Don’t … Have it short and then … Decide to have it longer and connect it with different material. Otherwise. Badass, gorgeous. Woman crush.

I know that blouses are usually used as shirts, not as “coats”. However, since it has gotten a bit warmer outside, I started using them over the tops and I truly love the outcome. Blouses have this great advantage that they’re usually not too baggy, so they fit nicely next to your figure. If we use them over tops, we therefore do not hide the beautiful shape, we highlight it even more. Besides, the weather can get quite crazy in May … It’s cold in the morning, but it’s warm in the evening. If we use a combination like this, we are ready for both of the weathers. We won’t feel either hot or cold and we’ll look fabulous along the way! I love the skirt in this outfit, because it brings energy and youth to it. Because of the blouse, I could have easily used a white/dark blue skirt, but I truly didn’t want to be so boring and safe. The pop of colour is the thing that this outfit needed, in my opinion!
Even though I like the first outfit, I definitely prefer this second one, because the top stands out more than it did in the first set. Here you can see just how playful and awesome it is. I love the fact that it’s a one-shoulder kind of a top and I also love the way the materials flow one over another. I feel as though the skirt and the high heels compliment each other beautifully, because they both have that kind of a vintage feeling while being modern, as well. There is nothing badly put on this skirt! The shape is great, so is the colour. The shoes didn’t have to be designer shoes, but I was thrilled to have a yellow detail on them, so I had to pick them when I saw the mark. I could just see myself rocking this outfit. I think it would give a lot of confidence to any woman.
The reason that I love this outfit so much is that I’d seriously consider wearing it in real life. Sometimes I create things that don’t feel so personal and so … “Me.” But this outfit definitely does. I love the material of the skirt, its colour truly shines through because of it. The length is perfect – it’s not too long and it’s not too short. I like the fact that it’s thight around the waist, but then it kind of gets more fun by not being 100% thight. The top is quite sporty, but the neckline gives it some elegance as well. We could easily add an elegant necklace too and tone down the sportiness. The shoes have to be my favorite, though. I love the fact that they aren’t blue, so the outfit isn’t too matchy-matchy, but the colour is soft enough to match well with the skirt nonetheless. I love the golden addition on the shoes and how it pairs up with the purse’s golden additions. The items have individual taste, but I feel like the outfit looks fabulous as a whole.
The main reason as to why I love this first set is that you can’t really define its style. The skirt and the top look incredibly fancy … That bow on the top is so cute and girly. I’d use the top for family gatherings and occassions like that. The jacket, on the other hand, is nothing like that. It seems more casual, yet it’s not boring or “lazy”. The entire combination seems fun to me. It’s almost a bit weird, unusual … But I think every personal style should be unusual, because that makes it original and cool. The heel is great, too. The colour matches the casual jacket, yet the formal sense matches the top and the skirt.
Here’s another playful green combination. This seems less formal – sure, the top could be used for fancy occassions, but it’s diversed enough to be used in anykind of style that we want. I think the pants are awesome! I personally don’t own any similiar ones, but I’d like to get them one day. I think they look great on “fuller” girls (that is – girls with hips, a booty and great legs). They fit that kind of a figure perfectly. The jacket is so badass, wouldn’t you say so? I love all of these little details that works SO well together … Whoever construsted this is a genius. The shoes are a bit difficult, because they don’t flatter everyone. Sometimes – they look a bit uncomfortable. However, I thought they’d be a perfect addition to the rest of the clothing.
e in it and you can do whatever you want … It’s different from what I normally create and that’s exactly the reason why I love it so much! I love how the top has a slight cleveage, that makes the clothing look feminine, but it’s still not too revealing. I love the pants! They are so cool! Sure, you shouldn’t wear them to a business meeting (and if your uncles don’t appreciate art and individual expressionism – you probably shouldn’t wear them to a family gathering, either :P), but I am personally so annoyed with simple, blue jeans that will stick next to your legs and make them all sore and tired when you walk around. These pants match with the coat as well, which is just so cute. The coat is modern and trendy, but I think it doesn’t look out of place. It’s a play between the black and pink colour and I love playing around.
The first set is definitely sweeter and easier going. I think it has a vintage sense – the top is so simple, the boyfriend jeans are probably THE item from the 90s style and the jacket doesn’t necessarily bring out the rock ‘n’ roll … It’s a simple item that suits right. I think the shoes are the only item that don’t scream VINTAGE, so they might look a bit out of place, next to these other items … But I love how they match the top, so I had to use them. I also love the belt and the open toes. You could easily change them for black platforms, but I feel like while that would be a more obvious “vintage” choice, these bring more energy to the outfit.
This second set seems more modern, wouldn’t you say? And it’s rougher, too. I love everything about it! I yet again had to use a leather jacket (I know I’ve been using them often, but they are a part of my personal style, so I can’t just ignore them). You can see it fits perfectly, because it’s tighter than the jacket used in the upper set. What’s my favorite thing about this set, though? THE BELTS! The belt on the skirt is a more or less simple addition, but the skirt wouldn’t be near as perfect without it as it is with it. And the belt on the shoes … That almost matches the belt on the skirt … It’s so awesome. I love these shoes without the belt, but with it, they are complete. This outfit definitely shows a lot of skin, but who cares, I find it awesome!
I love using white items in outfits, because the entire look seems so pure! Black is badass, but you don’t always want to look like you’re ready to kick ass 😛
I love these shoes, too! They’d match the top beautifully, but I was a bit afraid they don’t match the pants and the coat … Because those two items seem quite formal and these high heels are more playful and easy-going. You decide! Which shoes do you prefer?
items you have seen, ever? The detail is so beautifully structured and it matches with the skirt and the rest of the items so easily. I love the buttons and the cross back straps. When you add too much details, there is always fear that the clothing will look … Tacky. But this top isn’t even close to that. Otherwise this outfit has a very girly vibe, so it’s not one of my favorites. However, if you aren’t into rock clothing, you might fancy this.
I love shirts with writings and images… It means you can wear a black shirt, which is otherwise plain, but this way it’s far from being boring. It looks artistic and original.
The second outfit is definitely more revealing, but I think it has a certain vintage charm. I love how the top and the skirt match colour-wise. That middle detail of the top is just about the coolest thing ever and so is the detail of the skirt on the edge. The cute little bag brings the element of girliness and softness, so the sporty vibe draws out a bit. Looking at the shoes, I just have to say these have to be one of my favorites. I like the structure, the material … It’s just so pretty. And you know by now that I love adding hats, so I won’t even explain that 😛 I think the outfit also needs some jewellry to make it more complete, but otherwise I’m personally satisfied.
